Home of MommaBear's Goat Milk Soap
Bearden's Back Acre is the maker of MommaBear's Hand Crafted Goat Milk Soap.  We own the process from the pasture to the final product, which allows us to make a superior product for you.  All of our soaps contain a minimum of 30% of our farm fresh raw goat milk (with the exception of our vegan-friendly Castile Soap), and are made from high quality fats and oils, with most scented with essential oils (we don't use any perfumes or artificial ingredients.)  Our soaps are sold at our store in Sesser, at our online store or at Farmers Markets around Southern Illinois.
Goat milk is expensive, so many makers of goat milk soap will dilute the milk with water to save money.   However, since we use the milk from our own goat herd, we do not add any water to our soaps to ensure you get the full benefit of the nutrients and emollients.  You can check out our collection of soap using the Our Soaps tab, or learn more about MommaBear's Goat Milk Soaps at our Frequently Asked Questions page.

Learn about our farm
Our oldest grandson Ehren would like to welcome you to our farm.  Watch your head!
Bearden's Back Acre is a small farm in Southern Illinois where we raise dairy goats, rabbits, and pastured poultry (chickens, turkeys, ducks, and geese).  We also make and sell Goat Milk Soap.
As advocates for the local food movement, we strive to provide high quality products while educating our customers on the power they have when making purchasing decisions.

Poultry and rabbits and goats.  Oh, my!

Our goat herd consists of Nubian and Alpine dairy goats.  Pictured at left is Flower, one of the first goats we got, and she is the model for our logo.
Read about our daily life on the farm at our Blog or learn more about us at Our Story.

We take the milk that we get from the goats every morning, and turn it into a luxurious soap for you.  You can learn more about what goes into MommaBear's Goat Milk Soap at our Frequently Asked Questions page, or browse through the Soap Descriptions.
